No deadline is printed on the form itself. The Department's home education page states the parent must notify before the school year starts - treat the precise date as unconfirmed.

PARTLY read at the source on 2026-08-28: the Department of Education and Early Years' own Home Education Notice of Intent form for the 2026-27 school year was opened directly at princeedwardisland.ca and read. It collects the child's name and date of birth, last school attended, and parent contact details, cites section 95 of the Education Act, and prints NO deadline anywhere on its face - which is why this page says there is none. What could NOT be read is the Department's guidance page: it sits behind a Radware bot check, a deliberate access control, and it will not be worked around. PEI needs a human to read that page.
